Pro's and Cons of Expensive Memory

This review compares 1333MHz, 1600Mhz, 1866MHz and 2133MHz CL9 RAM in Sandy bridge systems (and P55 and X58). As you can see, there is a small performance increase in some applications, but generally it is tiny. As you can imagine, sandy bridge combined with 1333MHz dual channel DDR3 RAM is usually offers plenty of bandwidth and going for much faster more expensive RAM doesn't make sense unless you are doing mission critical stuff. Usually the money is much better spent on a faster CPU/GPU or towards an SSD instead of fast/expensive RAM - especially if you are gaming.
