Pros and cons of linux on the PS3

had a ps3 for a few days now and have read that you can install linux on it. i have it allready installed on my PC does firefox run like the pc? i find the ps3 explorer slow and non user friendly. so really all i want it for is surfing.

Cant use the rsx gfx card so no decent graphics but you can run emus.

sorry but thats way over my head. all i wanna know really is will firefox run fine on the ps3 just like it does on the PC?

yes but you can't play games as the ps3 graphics card will not run under linux is what i think the other poster meant.

ye you should def be able to. Its perfect for basic pc use. You can find freeware versions of a lot of popular programs that do a decent job.

All i meant was you cant use the ps3 graphics card in linux so no complicated games.
