Nice if all your precious devices are in one place.
Opted for a UPS though mainly because of the file server. Not good for disks to spin down with power shortages.

I know my powerline kit seems uneffected being in my surge protection. My powerline kit states not to use in a surge protection kit.

might vary with kit and age, some of my older powerline equipment did not play nice with surge protectors, I have since moved to regular cabling though so no idea if this issue is still around.

No idea. I don't know if powerline kits get affected by surge protectors.

I remember reading a while ago that surge protectors were meant to affect the speed through the powerline kits.

Connecting this product to a power strip with a surge protector may adversely affect the performance of this product.

Powerline adapters can be used with extension leads (except surge protection ones), and will work across different ring mains so long as they share a common fuse box.

As a word of note to anyone using Powerline products, make sure you do not plug these in through a Surge-Protected socket. They will happily take a regular multi-gang extension plug if need be, as long as there is no surge-protection on it, as it will disrupt the signal and prevent the network from forming.

applies because i have seen some network videos where they test over surge protection and it doesn't appear to degrade performance from the tests they performed. I tried it in surge after being solely wall socket and havent noticed any issues with any aspects since going into the surge protection. Someone needs to try it and see.

I have just checked with our Powerline buyer, RJKONEILL

He has indeed confirmed surge protectors do not affect the speed of powerline adapters.
He uses powerline at home, and uses it on a surge protector.
