OCUK! There’s a few supplement comparison websites out there but they all (from what I’ve seen) compare price and not nutrition and ingredients.

When I'm looking for protein powders I'm opening various tabs, MyProtein, Bulk Powders, Bodybuilding Warehouse, GoNutrition etc and trying to compare all the ingredients and cost per serving. Anyone else do this?

I also want to know about things like COA's, Labdoor rating, grass fed source and processing methods? I know some don’t care, but these things matter to me.

I am not a dev by any means and this is a work in progress so don’t be too harsh on me! But what are your thoughts? Is it heading in the right direction?

Please only view on a laptop or desktop, it doesn't support mobile/tablets at this time. To show you an example of a comparison, check out: http://supplementmonkey.com/compare/?ids=26,44,46,45

Otherwise here's the homepage to have a fiddle: http://supplementmonkey.com/

I've only added protein supplements at the moment (all by hand, no scraping here!) but if you have any suggestions of brands/products let me know and I’ll add them.

Looks good, I had previously looked for something like this to help with making decisions. A lot of this stuff looks the same so I went with cost and word of mouth back then and ended up with some horrible protein from holland and barrett.

Here's a few suggestions;

  1. Monkey's thoughts seems unclear, is there a scale for bananas?
  2. Getting the processing information is a really key factor, not sure how many companies are forthcoming with this though?
  3. Add a batch tested checkmark for tested athletes? Applies more to other supplements but some all in ones and wheys do get tested.
  4. More sorting option; highest rated, cheapest, low temp, all in one etc etc
I like the idea, definitely keep going :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Really appreciated!

1) I might have to make a banana scale page :) I'll probably put tooltips on each row category to explain them in full detail.
2) Yes this has been surprisingly difficult, check out this page to show the ones that have been helpful: http://supplementmonkey.com/customer-service-rankings/
3) Good idea for a future addition!
4) 2.0 will definitely have sorting functions and toggles

Looks good. I spend ages searching and comparing supplements to try to find something that is a reasonable price and decent quality. It would be useful if you had some sort of price feed from different suppliers.

Good to hear, you're our target audience! Sourcing reliable pricing is the hardest thing, the pricing we currently use is a good overall price but would be nice to see direct pricing etc. Something we can add in a future version if it takes off. Thanks for your feedback!
