Proton Adverts?

Bit disappointed when an advert popped up in my Proton VPN app last night. How long have they been doing this? They wanted me to upgrade my package to something I would never want.
If they continue this I will have to review my subscription. I don't pay them to block adverts just to allow them to advertise on my PC.

I spoke to Proton about it.

We can expect more adverts.

This is bad news. Not the thing I would expect for a paid account.

Sadly this is becoming the norm on paid products, from the OS to anti virus products and even Macrium Reflect which I thought would be the last to do that (albeit they just have a clickable banner in the toolbar for their new subscription only version so not blocking but still annoying)

I've not seen any on mine yet. If they start spamming them, not really sure there is anywhere else for me to go . Everyone else either doesn't support port forwarding or is stingy on how many connections you can have.
