Provide me with a build for a friend please.

I have looked over some of the builds and they don't offer everything he wants.

My friend is looking for the best pc he has ever owned. He has a £2,000 budget I think he has everything he needs apart from the tower, so it's 2k for the tower

He wants a water cooled rig. I am useless at that. Not got that far myself yet.

I'm thinking X99, gtx 900 SLI maybe, 16GB ram, SSD and hdd and a nice tower to show off the build.

Would OCUK do a full watercooled build? Cpu, GPU etc? With custom loops and stuff?

That's a pretty big ask for a 2k budget.

What will he mainly be using the PC for? Chances are you could do a fully watercooled Z97 build around that budget.

OCUK do do some custom loop stuff but it either out of that price bracket or only CPU cooling.

If he really wants it watercooled he's either got to do it himself or find a friend (you) who will (learn) do it for him.

I could spec a build it yourself one if you wish to see.. Otherwise I have no other ideas.

Is non water cooling an option??? As a full loop will cost in the region of £450-£500

Ok i will make some changes.

It will be mainly for gamig. We can go Z97. And we can drop the water cooling. We will have a liquid cpu cooler though. I quite like the enthoo cases, whether it's promo or luxe they both look very smart.

I did look at some of the configurable ones. But wanted it to be more customised than them.

I think he will want to go for it after Xmas. Do you reckon this the build would be likely to change?

Any spec we do now is likelybto change by then but the basics, Luke 4790k, Primo luxe will stay. AMD may have a new GPU offering by then so we'll see. They like to time things around the new battlefield games, so Nov/Dec seems about right for them..

Come back here a week or two before ordering and we can sort it from there.
