hey, will be getting my own place soon so i am looking around for bb, so after putting the post code in a few areas i can see i can get up to 8meg in a non-cabled area. So i started to look around and after looking at virgin media i can get:

£19.99 a month
Bundle One

Up to 8 Mbps†
Unlimited downloads‡
Anytime calls to UK landlines
Free Wireless Kit* and Virgin Free TV box

Im really confused about this, does it mean once i get the BT line i do not have to pay the £10.50 a month to BT AS WELL as paying a bb price on top of that?

I always thought it was pay for a bt line and then pay for your bb on top of that.

I'd steer clear of VM adsl. It's meant to be awful.

I don't know for sure, but at that price I'd be almost certain that you have to pay your normal BT landline price on top of that.

Okk, what provider should i be looking at then that are known for been good?

I can't get o2, after just doing a quick check i can get

plusnet??
tiscali
virgin
orange.

Sorry, I thought you were asking for advice? Discarding suggestions from people who know about ADSL based on the fact that you've never personally heard of them won't get you far.
