Hi is there a way to watch videos online from megavideo/youtube/metacafe though a proxy with a differnt ip address ? Does anyone know of any proxy that would let you do this ?

Yes. If a proxy is configured correctly it should be invisible to the services that traverse it. If video streaming isn't working via a public proxy then it's probably being intentionally blocked due to bandwidth management.
I've viewd embedded video streams via tor client before which is in effect just a proxy.
I'm inclined to think you might be hacking around a blocking system here tho, am i right?

Nah im just wondering if its possible to watch online videos though a proxy what services out there are there that let you do this sort of thing/ online video sites are blocked at my college network thats why ?

So you are trying to hack around a blocking system.
I'm not going to answer that question because your college has blocked those sites for a reason be it bandwidth (most likely) or p0rn etc and as a net admin myself I'd be a traitor to my trade if I were to aid such behavior.
