Proxy Server

Hi Guys,
I wouldn't mind trying to set up a proxy server, I have half decent machine with ubuntu on it that i wouldn't mind using to play around with.

Anything i should know or any guides/suggestions before I get started.

Doing a complete re-install of ubuntu and will install Squid as soon as its done. I will let you know how I get on, no doubt further help will be needed from you guys.

Can you control Ubuntu via Apple Remote desktop? I have enabled the vac server on ubuntu but can't seem to get a connection?

I can use terminal but want to use the GUI to configure Squid as I'm not really good with Terminal
