I have a "Proper" 20" chainsaw and a 12" Pole saw, but I also wanted something a bit more compact for working from a platform/ladder/tree.
I also didn't want the faf of having to use starter cords while halfway up a tree so I decided to take a chance and try this.
It is actually bloody good! As with anything battery powered, there is always the "Range Anxiety" thing and I was concerned that, however good the actual performance. I would end up having to get a second battery to keep on charge while the first ran down.
But no need. I managed a whole mornings work on one charge, including felling AND cutting up several 4" saplings, and still had 2 bars out of 4 left on the charge indicator.
I have to say, I am officially impressed.
Strongly recommended if you are looking for a 12" chainsaw.
(And if you dig deeper on the website, you will see that there is a whole range of garden equipment that is designed to run from the same battery pack and can be bought without batteries if you already have one)
