PS 3 and My Monitor?

Hi all,

I am looking at buying a PS3 but I am a bit confused as far as displays are concerned. From what I understand you either need to use a HD ready tv or a monitor that is HDCP compliant.

All I have is a 17inch LCD that is a good few years old now and has VGA and DVI.

I have seen a "HDFury 1080p HDMI to VGA Converter" that seems to remove the HDCP and allow VGA input, will this solve my problem? Also is my screen going to be able to output the resolutions required with this adapter? Will this look any good or am I better off looking for a small HD TV?

Ideally I just want a solution that will let me use the PS3 now for a month or two while I get the money together to buy something like a 19 inch HD TV.

Thanks for the help!

No idea on this sorry.

For me though it doesn't matter - I can tell you that using high definition on a 17 or 19 inch screen is a complete waste of time, you will be able to see minimal difference, if any.

You need at least the size of a standard tv (28 inches) or above to make high definition worth investing in an ideally 32 inch+
