Seem to have had a suspicious transaction on my account. Uncharted 4 Digital Edition was purchased on my account while my PS was off, I had my phone on the side so saw the PayPal transaction, making me check my emails, PS account then bank account. Seems like the transaction went through. I've created tickets with PS & PayPal separately. Pretty sure I changed my passwords back when there was that PS hack so can't be that coming back to bite me in the arse & nobody else has access to my account.

Since then I've changed all my passwords again and removed Paypal from my Playstation account.

I already have a hard copy of Uncharted 4 so have no reason to have made this transaction myself.

Anyone else had any problems like this, contacted PS/PayPal? How long did it take to resolve?

Bit of a ball ache tbh, I have no doubt I'll get a refund but just so annoying.

Took about 2-3 weeks when it happened to me. Account got instantly suspended due to charge back.
Then had to write emails to Sony support etc.
 
To be honest with all these suspended stories I keep reading, as far as I'm concerned the only safe way is PSN code payments.
 
Exact same thing happened to me last week.Spoke to Sony UK and I was asked lots of security questions about my most recent transactions.Someone called "Maddy John" had hacked my account and ordered Uncharted 4 and God of war costing around £70. The account was immediately frozen and passwords changed.PayPal weren't interested and said all they would do stop the auto funding.
I had to send an email of my Passport to get the issue resolved.
Thankfully it was all sorted out in just a few days and I've now been refunded.
My passwords have been changed a few times over the years after Sony's cockups.

PayPal cancelled the transaction for me, I had 2 emails from them with one saying:

"We've finished reviewing your unauthorised activity claim and you'll receive a refund for the transaction amount. It may take up to five working days for the funds to appear in your account."

My PayPal has a new transaction which is the exact same amount that went out, just +£49.99. This is where I'm confused, I'm guessing it'll be up to 5 days for it to be in my PayPal or bank account but it's not even showing on my pending balance. Should it be showing there or am I just getting worried over nothing?

Just awaiting contact from Sony now.
 
So when you say account suspended, I can't use the account whatsoever till it's back?

Well it's a bit different, I immediately told Paypal it was an unauthorised transaction, this creates a chargeback which = instant PSN suspension. I then had to work with Sony CS to get it solved.
I was using the password from the PSN hack so I wonder if someone chanced their luck, I don't think it's hard to run a program to try and log in with a txt file of credentials.
I just use my mobile for payments now and buy cards when on offer.
 
Just an update;

Sony have already refunded me and lifted the temp suspension, so resolved really quick.
