Im looking for some advice on an issue i've just come across with my computer. I'm a complete novice with computers and know nothing about the technical side of them.

I bought a PC through Overclockers just over 2 years ago, and its pretty well equipped. I can play any game that i choose to at the highest settings.

Late saturday night I was playing Total War and for some reason my PC randomly shut off and restarted in safe mode. It started up in ASUS BIOS mode and I believe it said it was an issue to do with my power supply. Around a year ago I did have to get a replacement plug and lead for an issue I had, but havent had any issues since.

Once I booted my PC back up again I noticed I could actually hear my tower making more noise than it usually does, it sounded like the fan was working harder than usual. I checked on task manager and it showed that my DISK usage kept spiking to 100% every few seconds when I was on nothing but the Internet. I loaded up a game, and immediately noticed something was wrong. It usually runs at 60FPS but it was lagging and was stuck at 13FPS when i brought the settings down to medium.

I tried to open GeForce Experience but it told me it recognised no graphics card on my computer at all. I've had a look around on the internet but I can't really find a solution tot he problem. I'm assuming the issue is that my Graphics card has been lost somehow and that it why my game was now lagging.

As its a sunday I can't contact anyone from overclockers, who i'll contact tomorrow. But hopefully someone can give a little advice or heads up what I'll need to know before calling a technician.

I've been lead to believe I shouldn't turn my computer back on until I get a need PSU, otherwise I could compromise all of the other parts

If anyone has any advice or know what I need to do, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
