PS Vita Game Alerts

Hi Can anyone help. My son has a PS Vita and he is telling me that the game alerts have stopped working. And he can not join any of his friends games.

I have tried googling tried resetting the system, rebuilding the database.

Please help as he is driving me nuts.

Think you've posted this in the wrong forum.. you need the console section not the for sale

Anyway, first thing that springs to mind is it needing a system update.. can't remember if the Vita needs PS+ for online but maybe that's a reason.

It doesn't, only PS4 requires ps+ for online. And I second what Jase said, check if the firmware needs updating. Also probably not likely but check anyway, can it get online at all? Could have perhaps accidentally switched on flight mode.

Yeah my son was bugging me and didnt realize what forum I was in. lol

Thanx for who ever moved it.

I can play online but something to do with no being able to join his friends in game as he gets not alerts. (ok he has just said when his friends send him invites he doesnt get them.)
