PS1 Classics - PS3 to PSP Transfer

Ok...you used to be able to simple connect your PSP to the PS3 via USB cable then copy the selected game to your PSP...just like you do with PSP games.

This 'copy' option appears to have gone for some crazy reason.

Anyone else confirm that this option is gone for them too?
There is no way I can download FF titles. My internet speed is bad as it is, and on the PSP it's 3x worse.

Just wanted to see if it's the same for others before I ring Sony and ask them what i'm supposed to do with the £80 worth of PS1 games I now can't realistically play without leaving it on ovenight and hoping connection doesn't time out - which is does ALL the time. (my internet doesn't..it's the damn PSP connection)

Just thought I'd give a quick edit as I was in Tesco when I posted that link. Basically it appears that they've bodged something with the recent update, and now you only get the copy option if the game hasn't already been installed to the PS3, after the 4.0 update it seems as if the console doesn't install the games anymore, it runs them from the "zipped" state. Looks like you'll have to download all your stuff again, though I imagine they'll patch this, I haven't read the entire thread so apologies.

Hopefully It'l get sorted in the next update but yeah as K1LLSW1TCH says, you can only copy them over if not installed at the moment.

Your best bet is to remove them from the PS3 and download them on that and then transfer them over instead of trying to download them directly to the PSP.

Thanks for the info. I contacted Sony to see if it would be patched and the guy seemed to be implying that it's a security feature...so it may stay like that!

It is very annoying as I have about 60-70GB of PS1 and PSP games on my PS3...and my internet sucks - it took me forever to download them.
Mind you, I only play 1 game at a time so i'll just be gradually adding 1 now and then to transfer to PSP as I complete each game.

It's still a mess for me as i've got games spread over 3 accounts as I kept changing over the years....lol. It's a nightmare as last night I transfered FF4-6 onto the PSP (me and friend are doing full FF marathon) but he's way behind me so i decided to play Grandia in the meantime...logged into my account, transfered it but due to have FF games from my older account I can't play Grandia...oddly, it's the account which owns Grandia which i'm logged in as

Why didn't I just keep 1 account!!
