Hi,

I'm doing some retro gaming at the moment and just picked up a 2nd hand PS2 slim (7000) as it was easier than digging around my mum and dad's house for my old phat one.

If memory serves me correctly the PS1 mem card should work and are needed to play PS1 games... So how come non of my old PS1 mem cards work?!

I have 4 official Sony ones and two none... I managed to get one to work within game and now he system sees just that one??.

EDIT: It turns out that sony had decided to block support for unofficial memory cards on the slim 7000 series and upwards... but they blocked some official ones too by mistake, it also turns out that they blocked the multi tap adaptor by mistake too! but there's an adaptor to make the multi tap adaptor work and guess what... it makes unofficial memory cards work also.

EDIT 2: well after taking a closer look at them, the ones that ain't working are official ones, well I should hope so as I never brought any mem carts from flebay and only from high street shops and online stores that provided from their own stock. But they are Jap imports ones, the model number and made in japan are larger than the ones that do work and there's a load of Jap writing where the CE sticker would be.
