PS2 Controller probs with NBA 2K6

Hi,

I picked up NBA 2K6 on the cheap today as I remember the gold old days of NBA and wanted to relive them.

The thing is that it doesn't seem to be recognising the 2nd controller so two player is out for the time being which is not at all good.

The controller works on all other games, e.g. Pro Evo 6, so what would be the issue here.

In the initial game screen where you select teams it seems to acknowledge there are two controllers but none of the inputs on the second one do anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the snd controller a Dual Shock 2 controller or an older one?

Is an analogue dual shock, but older than the one that works. Probably from PS1 days. The thing is, however, that it works with other games.

I ask because I think I read it in the requirements of oanother game that it could only be played with a Dual Shock 2 controller.

Does the game wotk if you connect the not working controller in the first slot?
