ps2 faulty maybe?

i recently bought battlefield 2 modern combat for the ps2 and in game the fps can be really crap at times. i go on the gamespot website, ign ect to look at some vids and the fps seems much faster on them than my ps2! but i also bought gran turismo 4 and that works a treat! smooth as hell,

when i 1st start the game it asks if i want to play it on 50/60 hz. i choose 50 because if i choose 60 i lose the colour. would this be whats making it slow? meaning if i was to buy a new lcd tv and play it on 60hz.. it wouldnt go slow and choppy? thanx

50htz will be slower than 60 htz. just try it on 60 htz, you dont need colour to see the speed difference. i think you need a scart lead to solve the colour problem

I think he'll need an NTSC compatible display to have it work properly at 60Hz

my tv is well rubbish! the scart lead im using is rubbish too
