PS2 games on PS3 saving question.

When playing a PS2 game on PS3 does it save the game to the hard drive or do you need the memory card adaptor and a memory card?

you make a virtual memory card on the hdd. You can get an adaptor to copy information from your old memory card to the virtual one, but its optional.

You've got the choice of either - though I'm not sure if the adapter lets you directly access the memory card so I don't know if you can only use it to copy the contents onto the PS3 or if you can use it as you would a normal memory card.

But for the simple option, you can create virtual PS1 and PS2 memory cards which are stored on the hard drive.
