Morning Boys and Girls

recently bumped my graphics up to "ultra" using the .ini hack below

However it still isnt comparable to the likes of these

I realise my system will probably crash and burn trying to run it that high but i want to know what i need to do to get it to that next level. im playing on led screen 1920 *1080, i7 3770 + 660ti

is there a setting im missing? is it my resolution?
 
a lot of screenshots that look too good to be true are often tweaked or downsized to look better

this should be banned but its all good marketing so it wont.
 
i did originally think they may have been pshopped a little but in the high res screenshot thread one of the members posted up some awesome screenshots of his own which looked to a similair level.
 
Just looks to me like the shots in that album are the same settings as yours however with the SweetFX mod to get rid of the terrible blur in the game. Search the internetz enough and you will find out how to do it, use at your own risk though as you can be banned for using SweetFX in PS2.
 
yeah i wanted to avoid using programs like that as i had read on the soe community boards its not allowed.

ill do some more googling :)
 
Some of the Crysis screen shots with all the mods are unplayable 8fps so they might look stunning in screenshots but are unplayable.
 
I was using SweetFX mod in PS2 up untill they posted saying it was not allowed. Suffered no noticeable loss in performance, it just got rid of whatever is causing the horrid blur effect in PS2.
 
Hopefully they'll implement something to get rid of the horrendous blur themselves, as sweetFX has been strongly hinted at getting you banned now :(
 
ah well its good to know i can play at full settings at a comfertable level :) getting 35-40 fps in huge teamfights, 40-50 in moderate the 60+ in low populated areas. can see froms screeny i had 90 while flying so all is well

just hope they do get rid of blue will look so much more detailed.
 
sooo reluctant to switch off my sweetfx, but as the new patch *may* be out tomorrow and i suspect were starting to see a ******* off SOE hitting back at hackers, better take it out tonight.
