Guys i'm after a PS2 controller that's cheap and plug and play to play all the old Tony Hawk games. I'm currently using the XBox one but it's horrible for a game like this so could anyone recommend a decent, cheap PS2 rip-off controller for the PC?

ps3 pads work on pc with motionjoy etc

Problem is so many games only support the 360 pad these days you have to mess around with software like xbcd x360ce to get gamepads working in games

I don't want to have to buy a PS3 controller just to play a couple of games though, already have a good XBox one. :(

Shall I give this a gamble?

Looks so cheap and nasty but for a fiver I might give it a bash. I'm also using a PS2 emulator so all the keys can be easily mapped out, it also says that it's plug and play compatible.

i think this is the software I used, you can connect a ps3/xbox controller to the pc via bluetooth or usb. the software also enables vibration and you can select what device you want your controller to represent.... so if there's a game that uses xbox360 buttons, you just click the option in motion joy and boom... your controller is now a 360 one as far as your pc and the game is concerned :D

used it for testdrive unlimited 2 :)

just grab ya self a second hand ps3 controller or something and a dirt cheap BT dongle (or just use usb :) )

I think I have an old usb gamepad that is a direct copy of the PS pad, if I can find it it's yours.
