ps2 mod

Hey i posted a thread in the console area erlyer but got told that it might be against the rules so stopped it but then i thought i might as well ask then if it is just please delte post and i am sorry.

So here goes, I am loocking at getting a playstation 2 and wonderd if i could just buy any harddrive and plug it in to the back so i can back-up my games so the laser doesn't brake as i hear they are weak as **** and also would it be easyer to buy with one ready modded as i may need software but not sure TBH so if you could help me out a bit i would be happy

How is it not legal as its just backing up my OWN games which I have paid for ? But if not dons please delete and sorry

Well technically you're not allowed to back them up like that anyway and we don't allow talk of chipping or other hardware modifications as it invaribly goes hand in hand with copy protection breaking etc.
