Edit: yes, there are multiple loobys depending on you language. The english lobbys are a pain to get into sometimes, they're just so damn full.

Yeah. You need an ethernet adsl router and a PS2 with network connector, or a slim ps2 which has one installed, then just plug it into the router and go to "network" at the bottom of the menu.
