how would i go about getting sound from my ps2 to a set of say 2.1 speakers?

What type of 2.1 speakers? Are they standard PC speakers with a 3.5mm mini plug that goes straight to the sound card or a proper setup using an amp with phono inputs etc?

You could either get a phono -> mini plug adapter and run the PS2 via the line-in on the PC, or get a phono -> mini plug adapter and a mini plug coupler and plug the PS2 straight in to the speakers.

Mine is setup to use the optical output,just one lead, through my nice 5.1 amp & speakers.

Mmmmmm... 5.1 surround in (very few) games
