Hi there, I'm having problems with my ****.com PS2 adaptor. Just can't get it working at all with Windows Vista 64bit. It shows up in device manager under Human interface devices but won't show in game controllers.

Anyone had any luck with it or can anyone recommend another adaptor which works with Vista?

Doesn't work on vista.. you have to manually take the drivers from xp and install them in vista.. haven't bothered myself, just installed xp again instead :P

I had the same problem.

Vista picked it up, but it never worked.

I got an XBOX360 controller to use in Vista now, works very well :)

In fact, works better than the PS2 controller did, as the games I've tried so far have automatically picked it up as an XBOX360 controller, and mapped the buttons by itself.

I got mine 2nd hand, but I think they're quite cheap anyway, and well worth it I'd say.

The 360 controllers are good (finally tried one out!). My only gripe with them is that the d-pad is absolutely useless. Not good if you're playing retro/emu console games.

Aside from that it's a decent pad though.

I couldnt even get mine working in XP :(

Only bought it to try and use with jets in BF2, tried it with other games as well but nothing :(

stupid question, have you tired a different usb port?
Yeah I have tried a few, some USB ports didn't seem to even pick them up but some it does but comes under Human interface device.

Stupid question but you don't have a link or could upload the XP drivers by any chance? I have had this adaptor for ages and never even used the CD to install the drivers so don't have the drivers anymore.

Never used a XBOX360 controller before and tbh I bought two PSX pads for the convertor I'm used to the Playstation pads as well so I'd rather stick to these pads.

my usb/ps2 adapter works fine in vista 32 bit. it's called a rockfire psx bridge i think. i got it from those robbing ******* electrical component store that also sells computer bits. :)

edit: just dug it out the cupboard- still works, vista detects it by it's self. no drivers required. :p
