PS2 vs USB for keyboard?

In concerns with gaming, which is better? Does one have less lag than the other?

Oh come on now you have to be kidding me right? Seriously get out more.

If you really must know the answer is USB can deliver much great speeds then PS2 but given how little data is being sent your not going to see the difference. However if for some reason your still using a mouse on PS2 switch to USB right now as latency is higher as the refresh rate on PS2 is 60hz whereas on USB its 120hz but for keyboards its a none issue.

On a side note I really wish motherboard reviewers would stop complaining about motherboard companies including PS2 connections on the I/O plate. If you want to run DSL or other small versions of Linux the OS really only works with PS2 inputs so its' not like PS2 doesn't have a it's uses.

Depends on what keyboard you have, if you have a decent keyboard with full n key rollover (nKRO) and not any gimmicky lights the ps2 is the better choice, usb is limited to something like 6-8 KRO.

Also I've heard ps2 is more direct with the cpu instructions get fed straight to it rather than going through a bus that can get busy which will cause the instructions to lag.

I run ps2 with a filco mechanical keyboard, it is amazingly resposive and I can press every single button together.
