So i have my ps2 lying around and around a 100 games.. im dying to play pro evo 5 again .. and ffx and other classics ... kingdom of hearts ...

Only problem my stupid tv has no av connection just hdmi and vga ..

Tbh im bored of my ps3 so what can i do .. shall i just fork out a hundred quid and get a old tv or is there anything else i can do ?

Get a component lead if your TV supports it (sounds like it doesn't though), or as said, pick up something like a free/cheap Trinitron CRT. They go for like £20-£30 on eBay, but look around locally and you'll probably get one free.

I doubt i will get anything free however il look around later on today there are a few cheap shops similar to pawn shops around here...

Erm...you can play ps2 games with a ps3.

Yep, pop the disk in and you can play ps2 games on your ps3.

There are a few that won't work but I'm not sure how extensive the list is, surely there is info on the net.

Oh btw if you have one of the new super slim ps3's, you can't play ANY ps2 games with it.

Youre obviously new to the PS3 Eames but only the original 60Gb PS3 phat was able to play PS2 games every model and HDD size released in the UK after that cant...

ps3ud0

Whether or not you wish to take this with a pinch of salt but it might work.

Software mod to allow playing of PS2 games on PS3. Here.

Have a look into it, see if its a viable option.

It must have a component connection lad, Red, Blue and green. With red and white sockets for sound.

The PS2 will look awesome with a decent component lead too.

Bare in mind that you'll have to change an option on the PS2 to use component.

Look at the side of your TV for a yellow, red and white connection sockets as you need to use them to change the PS2 to use component in its menu.
