According to the us playstation forums people ringing sony about warhawk issues have been told that their is an update for the playstation 3 tomorrow.

a lot of others have rang sony and the reps have confirmed this to them, unfortunately no features are known yet. Staying alittle sceptical about this but it's more or less 100% certain.

We shall see, supposed to be released at 12am est.
 
Its not for warhawk, they were told this when they rang up about warhawk.
There is a game patch for warhawk to fix the issues coming asap.
 
There is a problem with the stats server, my stats have been disappearing and reappearing all day, they are working on it and other issues. From what I hear it should be patched within a week.

My rank never increases, nor do my stats, no matter how many ranked games I play!

At some point they are going to have to do a global reset.


(btw it is 1.93 rumoured to come out tomorrow, not 1.92)

That's what i feared.

Your on 6th rank last time i checked your stats even though your global score is 70.

Mine is glitched and doesnt give me Airman 1st class even though i have all the things i need to be that rank. Its stupid!

there's no official response from sony yet (except in Japaneses with bad translation) but this is what people have found out so far....

# Seemingly faster XMB load times
# XMB screensaver option (which was there prior to this but just became popular because of this)
# Improvements on Internet Browser application
# Auto power off for the controllers
# Thumbnails in the video section
# Synchronized game clips in the games folder load up
# Faster transition from game to XMB
# Updated PSOne/PS2 controller compatibility

Glad the controller is turning off now, but hasn't the video section always had thumbs?

Not tried it much yet, cant see much difference, but list so far so ive heard.
Controllers auto power off.
Can add flash backgrounds to the XMB
Improved the Web browser in terms of speed and compatibility
Faster access to XMB
Also games are reportedly starting faster.

Best to wait on the official Sony blog for confirmation of improvements though

Beaten to it !!!

Pretty sure you can just hold that button down from the XMB and do exactly the same.

Just hold down the PS button on the controller for a few seconds and a screen will pop up asking if you want to switch off system or controller. Or of course you could press the standby button on the PS3 for a few seconds.
