PS3 12GB hdd upgrade question

Google this:

ps3 12gb fifa 14 £154

First link will take you to the website.

Add the console, and then add the game and on checkout use this code:

TDX-PWG3

..for £20 off bringing it to £134.

I'm not sure if the code will still work, it may have expired.

Says it is no longer valid, thanks though :)

is 12 GB going to be sufficient? I will only be playing GTA 5 and maybe the last of us and the new batman. I dont mind deleting games after i have played them and will only be playing each game at a time. I would also keep the ps3 as a dvd/blu ray player.

on the other hand, my cousin bought a 500gig ps3 slim in March this year, he is emigrating to OZ and is selling this, he offered it to me for £100 and i think i may get the games also. I am not too sure about buying a 2nd hand console and he has lost the receipt so would have to get 1 of his bank statements as proof of purchase incase it faulters before March.

what would you guys do, bearing in mind after i play these 3 games, i will not use the ps3 as a games console after this.

cheers in advance

The 12GB will not be sufficient for what you need. If you get it you will have to add in a HDD.

I have the 12GB and after installing GTA V I only had about 900MB free space left Which would soon disappear with game updates.

I would buy the one off your cousin. I prefer the slim to the super slim and it's not as noisy either. The disk reading on noise on the super slim is really quite loud! I guess it's because there is just a thin piece of plastic to insulate the noise with it being a sliding tray.

The 60gb disk will work fine in the slim, though the caddy is not compatible. However, if you decide to do the hair drier trick on the old ps3 to coax it into life in order to transfer your saves, then you will of course need to leave the 60bg in the old ps3 and buy a new hdd for the slim. This is what I did with mine after my old ps3 died a second time.

£100 for a 500GB Slim is too good to pass up really.

ive decided to take it off him.

he is going to give me his GTA5 game with the ps3 as well so ive been trying to get my copy out my ps3. Tried keeping my finger on the eject button and turning on and of at the back like some videos show but this didnt work for me.

any other ways to get a disc out?

cheers

I just had a thought, my friend has a slim ps3 which is broken due to a faulty lens (ithink), would i be able to put the blu ray drive in my original 60gig and put it in the slim?

i am not that savvy when it comes to things like this, I had a quick google but could not find anything that related to this and I am sure someone on here will know off the top of their head if this will work or not.
