IIRC it was said that using the 360 GPU to perform the folding the 360 potentially could outperform the PS3.

On the one hand you have to remember the 360 is the more expensive console by $200:

So it should fold better.

On the other hand the Xbox 360 is really just

My god, a lot of you on these forums really do take onboard the PR and Bullsnot which Sony & MS spew out and it seems like you even let it offend and bother you to a degree which suprises me. At the end of the day they are very large corporations and all companies of the size of these two giants talk up, BS, and lie... it's just life, get used to it and don't let it effect your day!

Funny how Peter Moore Says

When Vijay Pande (who runs folding) says

Speaking to Pro-G, Folding@home creator Vijay Pande commented that the power of the Xbox 360 hardware could be useful to the project, "although the cell processor in the PS3 is much more powerful for our calculations than the CPU in the Xbox 360." Pande then detailed that the PlayStation 3 Folding@home calculates data roughly 20 times faster than the previous PC version.
