PS3/4 Controller on PC?

Does anybody do this? If I got a gaming pc I would like to hook it up to a large tv and connect a controller instead of mouse vs keyboard. I was wondering how reliable it is, any delays, bugs? It's a deciding factor in whether or not I should get a gaming pc as mouse + keyboard doesn't appeal to me too much.

I use a PS3 pad on my pc, works fine ;-)

Use DS3 manager, as mentioned in the above post. I used to use it before I got my Xbox 360 controller.

Thanks guys, i'm suprised to find that my PC can run a few games, so i'll get a PS3 controller and see how it goes for a while before upgrading

Motioninjoy are what I use for my DualShock 3, got a PS3 so might aswell use them controllers.

you'll need to use some software that tricks the PC into thinking it's an xbox 360 controller as i recall
