My PS3, not even 2 weeks old, crashed last night while loading killzone2.

I had it on for a few hours while i was playing cod4 on my pc before this, so i was wondering... do ps3's suffer from heat problems? its got good air flow around it, so unless there could be anouther reason it crashed?

I may just be a little paranoid, just dont want it to break lol.

p.s. my 360 has never crashed on me *runs :D*

Mines crashed a few times and required me to turn it off by the switch at the back. This was a while ago though. Its still working to this day. *knocks on wood*

If it keeps crashing, you should get it replaced.

Ive come to admit that its just the way it is with moden consoles. Ive had my PS3 crash my 360 crash and my wii crash (when i had one) all have plenty space for air and its happened 5 mins from turning them on. Its just the way it is lol

Mine hasn't suffered from any heat problems, but it crashes a lot during LittleBigPlanet multiplayer. But I think it's just a problem with that game.

Mine has crashed, aswel as my 360. It doesnt happen much though. Very rarely on the PS3. But on certain games on the 360 it was quite frequent. Pro game developers if you ask me.

cheers guys, just me being paranoid i guess :)

p.s. im loving my ps3... dunno why it took me so long to get.

mine happened when i first turned on the console. I was like WTF you **** ******* POS! ARGH ZOMG RAWR!!!! lol.
On a side note, i turned my ps3 on today (with no game in the disk drive) and within 1 second the fan went from 0 o 5000% I was like WTF. The thing put the 360+B 747 to shame.
I quickly turned the thing off!

My mate bought a PS3 the other day, and while we were on NFS:Undercover we noticed, what we thought, were graphical glitches very similar to artifacts when a graphic card overheats. It also cut off while playing Battlefield: Bad Company.

We decided to stand the PS3 vertical and the glitches have not come back since. :)
