PS3 activation question

Can you have one Ps3 associated with two different PSN accounts ?


One of my PS3's has stopped reading discs so I have gone and bought a second hand one. I can logg into my PSN account ok but if I want to buy anything or download previously purchased stuff it tells me that I have 2 other PS3's associated with this account.

I seem to be unable to deactivate my previous console's right away (Have to ask support to do it from their end)

Thinking of making another PSN account to tide me over til I can activate to my primary PSN account.

Is this possible?
 
Somewhere in Account Management you can deactivate PS3 for games and media I believe, also should be able to manage it via the PSN website too

Ah that's a shame - surprised the website doesn't work as I think that has similar options - was helpful in the past when a PS3 died and I had to reclaim the license back on that one (think you can revoke all licenses and then go on to your current ps3 to activate it)

Cheers finally done it. I think their website had issues over the weekend ?

It kinda sucked as you cant play GTA5 online with an unactivated PS3 I think Rockstar needs to shake hands with PSN or something ?

All good now though.:)
