PS3 analogue pad broke - What to do

Hi

After one too many games our ps3's analogue pad has busted. From the picture you can see what has happened. I guess this isn't the first one to do this so is there a fix?
Was thinking of just gluing it back on top but doubt that would last. Are the bits you can buy to put over it?
We've got old PS2 pads. Can you cleverly replace the stick?

Might aswell try dismantling it and seeing if a PS2 stick fits. Chances are it would I reckon!

Nothing which a screw driver and 10 minutes wont find out .

Sell it on ebay.. Plenty of people wanting to buy it use to build a wireless joystick. I had one that i took apart and ended up selling as parts for a tidy sum
