PS3 and 360 controller running at the same time

Will running the 2 controllers side by side cause issues?

Will it have to be one or the other?

My media box has two wireless 360 controllers and two ps3 controllers plugged in. Aside from the motionjoy drivers being a pile of excrement, there are no compatibility issues.

Off topic, but what 4 player games do you have FrenchTart?

Emulated things? Might have to give it a look when I have friends over next.

Yeah, lots of emu. Some Steam games have 4 player local play too. Castle Crashers, Eden (three player I think), Forced (though you have to be quite close to the screen). Jamestown is absolutely amazing with any number of players (1-4).

Odd, when I tried DS it wouldn't allow either to be played. I will try again tonight and see what happens.

Sometimes the motion joy drivers can overwrite the xbox360 drivers. If you check in the device manager you can usually fix this though.

How do you run all your emulators? I'd like to be able to launch them via an all-in-one place such as XBMC.

Hmm, I checked and both were absolutely fine when I checked.

Maybe install the 360 drivers after?

Do you have the PS3 pad set to emulate 360 mode? That's what I use as some games have issues with non-360 pads.

Aside from that I'm not sure what to suggest. In my earlier thing about device drivers I was just talking about when the 360 pads stop working completely (as in, even windows doesn't see them properly) so it's probably not applicable to your situation.

I had it set to emulate the 360 yea. It worked in steam big picture and other games. But DS refused to see either controller and only responded to the keyboard and mouse. Once I uninstalled the Motioninjoy drivers, all solved.

Odd.
