Hey guys,

Been a very long time since i posted in these forums, but im a bit stuck with something and hope somebody could shed some light on the subject.

Basically i have a drive connected via usb plugged into my Home Hub, and i can access these files from my PC no problem through the network connections, problem is, my PS3 doesnt show the drive listed. Is there any way around this or am i doing something wrong?

If your homehub has media server/sharing functionality, you can enable that and it should be visible to the PS3. If not, you're out of luck, the PS3 won't recognise shared network drives on its own.

Can you not add the files on the external hard drive to your windows media player library and enable sharing on there?

I'm not sure if WMP allows you to add files that are on the network but if it does you can share that way, the only problem is that you will need to have the PC on at all times to share

Tried that, but files with any action scene or a lot going on, even an ocean wave causes it to be really jumpy so i was looking for a way around it instead of moving the hard drive from pc to ps3 all the time
