ps3 and kb/mouse?

hey guys,

i've placed my order for a 22nd feb ps3 (with ninja gaiden and uncharted), but i'm also gonna be buying cod4...

is it a comon thing to plug in a keyboard and mouse for these first person games or would you recommend i persevere with the ps3 controller and get half decent with that?

i ask cuz like a lot of people me entire fps history has been kb/m based (except for halo) so its gonna take some getting used to... i'm actually selling my pc as i wanna just stick to consoles for gaming (i have a mac and dont touch my pc anymore, plus i work in my home office and dont wanna play games in there too...)

so yeah, what you reckon?

Games have to have built-in support for the keyboard and mouse and the only so far (I think) is Unreal Tournament III.

Im a pc fps gamer aswell so using the joypad was a nightmare for me, i then came across the FragFX from splitfish, it's an alternative to kb&m

Left hand uses the same sort of thing as the wii nunchuck and the right hand uses an optical mouse, all i can say is in cod4 my accurecy on joypad was crap, using the FragFX my accurecy went up 4%, now 4% does not sound like much but in cod4 it is like night and day.

It took me a couple of days to get the hang of it but when you consider i was playing shipment this morning and got 1st place out of everybody playing and got 68 kills and 12 deaths i would say it has helped me loads,

no only one game supporting this so far, load of hype if you ask me

if you want to use a k&m stick to your pc

That's the PS2 version I believe, but yes basically the same thing. I've been looking at these for a while now but it has recieved mixed reviews from a lot of people using them.

I had read mixed reviews aswell but i thought i would try it and see how i got on, im so glad i purchased it, cod4 is the only game i have used it on but it is supposed to be really good for RFOM aswell, all the other games i have i use the joypad as im ok using it, the control sensitivity with the FragFX is awesome, i can turn 360° in a split second and sniping is so precise it's insane.

I would highly recommend trying it and if you don't like it sell it on ebay because there are lots of people buying them.
