I have a Belkin N wireless router model F5D8233-4 and have recently bought a PS3. I have managed to connect my PS3 with the router, however, when ever I disconnect or turn my PS3 off I lose my net connect on my PC and have to unplug or reset my router in order to get net access with my PC.

I have the latest firmware for both the router and PS3 and have made sure media streaming is not enabled on the PS3. Is there anything else I need to do or change so that I dont have to keep messing about in order to use one or the other?

this is interesting actually, because i have a netgear wired / wireless router with my pc wired and my PS3 wireless, when i have both my pc and ps3 on, i frequently get disconnected from MSN on my PC (but can sign straight back in) and games won't update on my PS3 (GRID couldn't upload as i got signed out of PSN) (this happens quite often too).

Have you considered tweaking your MTU value if you are using ADSL? I use a Netgear DG834GT and don;t have these issues, however I did have the MSN signing out issue (I forget the error code) for me it only ever fixed if I rebooted the router. Updating to latest firmware fixed this.

Might be a long shot but what's your MTU value? Until I set mine to 1500 I had no end of problems keeping my ps3 connected on my belkin n wireless router.

edit: beat me to it. :)
