PS3 and PSP compatibility

Anyone actually tried hooking a PSP up to the PS3? What are the benefits and is there much point?

Yeap, you can stream all your media from it across the internet

Also remote access your friends list etc

Wouldn't mind purchasing a PSP especially for my holiday coming up, is there a new PSP coming out?

Obviously would be good to sync it with my PS3 too.

I use mine to browse the PSN and download stuff whilst my daughter still watches Nick Jr. I really like it - the PSP is like the ultimate PS3 accessory.

you can also use it to upload some ps1 games onto the psp via the ps3. also i read somewhere yesterday that theres a function to be able to play games remotely via the psp as a display unit via a WLAN connection+ the internet.

Although i own neither a ps3 or a psp yet so i cant confirm these

apparantly this is a feature they want to add with a later firmware update - I can't wait.
