PS3 and SACD music

Not sure if this is allowed as it's about hacking a PS3, so mods please remove if its not OK.

Trying to downgrade the firmware on a PS3 from 4.80 to 3.55 using this guide: https://newtoolbox.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/sacd-ripper-primer-v4-0.pdf

I'm stuck on Section 2 Line 13, my PS3 doesn't see the firmware file on my USB. I've even formatted it to FAT32 too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can't downgrade the firmware of a PS3 that is on that level of official firmware by just sticking a file on a USB stick.

You need hardware for that and it probably can't be discussed here.

Do you have an original ps3 ? Anything after the 60gb ( I think ) can't do sacd.

Yep, Sony removed SACD support, along with the emotion engine for most PS2 games after the Fat 60GB console.

Luckily, I have one and it's very convenient for playing PS1/PS2 games via HDMI.
