PS3 beeps once ingame

Hi all I got a new PS3 slim 320GB it is new but second hand.

Now some times not every time when I play a game I get one small beep from the PS3 and I dont know what it is.

I have looked around and others have the same but no idea why so I aint the only one.

It does not effect game play at all and it dont feel that hot.

Any one actually know what it means?.
 
Just to add to this if it makes any diff I am using a £1 HDMI cable but the picture looks good etc.

Its very odd.

Some say its the WIFI signal dropping but I am ontop of the router.

I will try wired connection and see if it beeps ingame.

It only does it now and then very rarely.
 
Ok update again seeing as no one here must know whats going on.

I spoke to me bro and he said that SONY have put this in on the latest update he says its every hour and its to tell you to take a break.

I have not timed it but have me ps3 on now to test will let you all know.

I don't think it is that, might be an impending hardware problem best to contact sony support or chat to the retailer you bought it from. My ps3 only beeps when it shuts down and i have the same model.
