Is it possible to use the PS3 bluetooth headset for private chat whilst ingame?

I've been playing killzone2 with a mate and all I've been able to do so far is join a squad so we can talk wherever we are, is there any way to make a private chat so that random people don't just join in/talk over you?

Just mute everyone else on your team and the enemy i know it takes awhile , but the problem with that on kz2 you cannot hear the enemy round the next corridor with a sensitive mic ;) can be useful .

Ok, thanks for the answers :)

I was just wondering if there was an option, like there is on the xbox, to talk to someone in your friends list regardless of the game you are playing etc.
It really seems like a step backwards regarding online games, why would Sony not implement that? :(

I guess since I sit so close to my computer i'll just be using Skype/Ventrilo while on the PS3 then

When me an a mate play the PS3, we often use the 360’s party chat, helps to overcome Sony’s lack of features after…… far too long!

I heard there was a deal with Teamspeak in the pipe line, probably BS, but the PS3's lack of features for XMB still boggles me - Dashboard is ugly and too cluttered, but at least I can have a nice chin wag with mates when we’re all playing different games, plus I really like the on-screen prompts that you can fast skip/travel/open to by pressing the guide button; wish PS3 could add this too (I’m a bit lazy :D)
