Hello

Have had a PS3 since last Xmas and has worked fine but yesterday it stopped reading discs out of the blue

any idea why? any fixes and is this a known bug

do sony offer a pick up repair type of thing like nintendo/apple etc

They will come out and replace it within 7 days for a new or refurb console if it's still in warranty.
 
I dont have a reciept from wher e it was purchased. Does that matter?

Is what you are talking ran by sony, do you have any more details?
