Why was the Xbox360 version releseased ahead of the PC and PS3? Did Microsoft pay for a two week exclusivity?

Even though I have the Xbox360 version and loved the maps, it's things like this that peeve me off. There is just no need to unneccessarily deprive other users of the game, on different systems, of extra content just because you have the money. Rant over.

Sony are hardly saints, are they?

The GTA exclusivity deal they had with Rockstar stopped the series coming to the original xbox over a year after it was released on the PS2.

I don't think it is about depriving other users of the game, it's more a case of getting one over on Sony, much like they've done with snagging the gta 4 dlc deal.

Hardly getting one over Sony is it? More like getting one over other gamers! The original GTA3 was on the PS2 as it had a huge lead over sales of consoles from the xbox, this success on the PS2 hugely helped Sony and Rockstar. This relationship carried on through VC and SA, Rockstar came to Sony when Rockstar wanted to release GTA4 on both consoles at the same time and asked Sony if it was ok. In the end Sony agreed only on the fact that Rockstars next big franchise will only be on the PS3.

To have the pack available 21 days before the PS3 / closest rival is getting one over on Sony, in Microsofts eyes. Especially considering it's one of the most popular games for both platforms.

Whichever way you look at it, Sony will of lost a few sales due to the pack being late on the PS3, likewise, Microsoft will of gained a few sales.

Er, yes well anyway, I was up till 4am this morning hitting the new maps and I must say they are good fun! I think Broadcast is my favourite so far, not too big, not too small. Though in 4 hours of gaming, Killhouse didn't appear once...? :/

It bugs me a little that I have to wait till the new maps are randomly picked. I've bought them so I want to be able to choose to play on them. I don't get chance to play much so when I do I want to play on the new ones for a bit

No if you go to the bottom of the online list thats all you can play..
