PS3 Compatible Bluetooth Headsets thread...

Hi,

Just thought it would be useful if we created a thread of which Bluetooth headsets work with the PS3. i imagine a lot of people may own one already, for their mobile phones, so it would be useful to see which do and don't work with PS3s

Motorola H350
Cost ~£20 online

Paired and used in Motorstorm successfully.

I have the same headset as you, What ever you do dont turn the headset off in game or it will lock your system up So when playing make sure your batries are charged.
This happend to me playing motorstorm yesterday.

Kinda off topic but... would my USB headset work, and also how do I hear people while playing motorstorm, I can just hear noise... do you have in-game music off?

just found my old Bluetooth headset out the draw (Cellink BTHS-6023-f), works perfectly

As far as i know a USB headset will work
It w ill help to hear people if you do have the ingame music off.

BT28VM Bluetooth Headset

It pairs fine with the PS3 but i don't know how to use it? When can you talk in Motorstorm? In the game lobby? Also when i tried a chat, it wouldn't let me select it as my mic in the chat options. It was there but greyed out

please don't say that, lol , i got this comming this week, someone over at AV forums recommended it

Do you have to tell the PS3 you are using it as an input and output device as well as just pairing it?

Well like i said it Pairs ok but i don't know if i can actually use it until someone replies with how you talk in Mstorm and in which section or if i can test it tonight in a chat with somebody who has a headset which is already working.

Hi Windle,

I Would pair it again, and as soon as it is paired go into the Audio input/Output setting and you should be able to change it to your BT headset. After this the option is always greyed out.

After I did the above, i just put the headset on and then in game, in the lobby, I started to hear a faint hum whcih was the microphone turning on and pairing i guess and after this i could use it.

I can only guess that it disconnects itself and only connects again when you re-pair it or go into a game that supports the mic.
