PS3 compatible USB camera

Evening,

Looking for a USB camera that is compatible with the PS3. It has to do with one of the most retarded Trophies i've ever come across, but anyway i've had a look in Block Busters today and they don't have 'Eye Pet' or whatever it's called in.

I've heard that you can use any USB camera however I tried a mates old Microsoft one and it didn't recognize it.

Any suggestions?
 
I have tried a few different USB cameras, couldn't get any of them working. I eventually just went out and bought the official one.
 
Just been looking at the official ones which are £25! Jesus Christ, the spec was something like 1.3MP, that's pathetic. I'm tempted to pop in to ******* and ask one of the people there to test their cams on their PS3 lol.

You are going to buy a webcam just to get a trophy? Which game is it? if you want the trophy that badly just borrow someone else's. I believe Plug'n'play USB webcams work (i.e. ones that require no drivers to work).

I also used a borrowed PS2 Eyetoy from the neighbour to get the Burnout Paradise trophy.

I hate trophies like that, also the trophies that require 4 player splitscreen action :mad:
