PS3 connection problems

I have a couple of minor connection problems with my PS3. Firstly, for some reason it thinks that UPnP is unavailable, despite it being switched on in my router, and media sharing working across other PCs in the house.

Secondly, my router for some reason occasionally goes a little odd and fails to give out an IP address via DCHP. At these times, it works fine if I enter an IP address in my PS3's TCP/IP settings. However, despite it connecting fine to the PSN, it will not allow me to play Pro Evo online...any ideas?

Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot :D

I hear that. I've been having the same exact problems. I tried adding my PS3 to DMZ but still wasn't getting an results. I hate trouble shooting.

Might you guys have a BeBox? I have to reset it once a week because it goes dodgy (UPNP stops working, IP address assigning stops working, etc)

Nope, Netgear router...

That said, I seem to be able to stream media without a problem over it anyway, despite the lack of UPnP. Weird!

Just the Pro Evo thing that's a minor problem now.
