Just bought an 80gb PS3. I dont have a HD tv currently and ATM I have it plugged into the composite port on my Dell 2007WFP. My monitor also has DVI, VGA and svideo. Max resolution 1680x1050. What would be the best way to get my ps3 hooked up to my monitor at a decent resolution?

I also need sound, can I still use the red/white audio from the analogue out on the PS3? I currently have the audio plugged into my speakers using a red/white to headphone jack cable and a couple of connectors but sound only comes from one speaker. Always the left speaker no matter which way it is plugged in. Any ideas on that one?

to my knowledge, the 2007WFP supports hdcp via dvi so your best bet is to hook it up using a dvi to hdmi cable

and yeh, you can use the red/white plugs.. not sure why your only getting sound from one speaker
