PS3 console failed

So i turned it on, ylod or whatever it is called, so I contact the retailer I ordered it from for a replacement and they said yeah send it back etc, so i asked what i should do with my hard drive has it has personal info, games, saves etc on it and they just said "Unfortunately we require this back in order for us to send you a replacement." so does that mean I've lost everything on my hard drive now? :/

Blooody useless they are. Gonna complain.. the PS3 looks ugly and fake man.

Well it's a huge improvement over the last one they gave me.. had 2 huge claw like scratches on the top of the PS3.. so I can't complain

That is what I want, or at least one that looks like a Playstation 3.

This is their reply to my complaint:

Unfortunately as this item is pre owned we cannot guarantee that all the original stickers and logo's that would be on a brand new console are going to be on a preowned item.

We sell the pre owned consoles exactly as we receive them upon trade in and this is reflected in the price.
