Hey you guys.

I broke my PS3 control other night, R2 button crunched, took control apart to have a ganders, missing spring and broke inside the trigger...derp.

I would like to by a brand new control as the O and select button are iffy anyway, where is the cheapest place to buy one in town?

If it's just the trigger broken it could be easily repaired, if the casing isn't cracked that is. I know the springs are quite easy to replace.

I just got a fake one from that famous online market place . It wasn't on purpose, the seller had 100% feedback with an UK location saying they was factory refurbs.

I'm not endorsing getting a fake at all.. I just wanted a white controller and all the online stores was always out of stock and certain online stores are just market places now for people to sells fake ones at real official prices.

The thing looks, feels and play like a real one.. but I knew it wont be real even before I got it, as it took bloody ages for it to come as it was shipped from china rather than the UK. It wasn't till I opened it up I could confirm it was a fake.

Still in two minds to keep it as a spare or try and get a refund as P&P will cost loads.

Personally I would keep an eye out in the Supermarkets as they sometimes have them on offer. I'm extremely wary about purchasing online as none of the sellers seem to have a 100% feedback and so there is always a risk of getting a fake. Yes, some of the fakes work fine and you'd never tell the difference but I prefer not to take the risk.

Its a dam shame the pricing competition is completely gone... I remember getting two official ps2 controllers and they threw in a free game (NFS one) from a famous online bookstore.
